Also scoring in double figures for the fourth-seeded Wildcats (28-7), a team playing in the regional semifinals for the first time since 1982, were Victoria Dunlap and Keyla Snowden with 18 and 13 points, respectively, the duo shaking off a combined nine turnovers along the way.

Leading the way for the top-seeded Cornhuskers (32-2) was Dominique Kelley with 22 points and Kelsey Griffin who registered a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds in the setback. Cory Montgomery chipped in 14 points and Lindsey Moore 10 in the losing effort.

A layup by Kelley to start the night's scoring represented the lone advantage for the Huskers who, despite shooting 60 percent from the field in the first half, trailed at the break by a score of 43-34.

In the second half Nebraska dropped all the way down to 38.7 percent from the floor, allowing the Wildcats to secure the nine-point decision.

Kentucky made up for 16 turnovers and just 6-of-12 shooting at the charity stripe by hitting on an even 50 percent from the floor and 8-of-16 beyond the arc on the night.

Nebraska, which won 30 straight games to begin 2009-10 and set a new school and Big 12 Conference record in the process, was part of the Sweet 16 for the first time ever.

Kentucky now advances to a regional final for the first time in school history on Tuesday night and will clash with an Oklahoma squad that defeated Notre Dame earlier Sunday, 77-72.

The 2009 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds have been released and Denver Broncos' running back Knowshon Moreno has been made the opening favorite.

Moreno was selected in the first round of April's NFL draft and is expected to carry the rushing load for the Broncos this season. And with Jay Cutler now in Chicago, Moreno might be expected to be Denver's entire offense.

Green enters a crowded backfield in New York, but considering both Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are unhappy about their contract situations and might holdout, the former Iowa product could become the Jets' primary back.

Everyone was shocked when Al Davis took Heyward-Bey with the eighth overall pick in April's draft, but the kid has a tremendous amount of talent and if quarterback JaMarcus Russell takes the next step this year, the former Maryland product could blossom. Plus, Heyward-Bey will be looking to prove the people wrong who said Oakland should have taken Michael Crabtree with the No. 8 pick.
